Q: How long will the roads be closed?

These road changes will be in effect for several years during Phase 1 construction of Related Santa Clara. After construction of Phase 1 is complete a new roadway system will be in place.

Q. How will I access the Great America Train Station?

Vehicles travelling eastbound on Tasman Drive can access the Great America Train Station and soccer field area via a new exit ramp. Soccer park access via Marie P. DeBartolo Way will remain unchanged. Cars traveling westbound on Tasman Drive can make a u-turn at Marie DeBartolo Way and exit on the right via a new exit ramp.

Cars travelling on Great America Parkway can access the affected area by turning eastbound onto Tasman Drive or the new Stars and Stripes extension.

Q. How will I access the Youth Soccer Park?

Access is discussed under “How will I access Great America Train Station?”. Once on Stars and Stripes Drive continue south to your destination as currently done today.

Q. How will I access the Levi’s Stadium loading docks?

Access is discussed under “How will I access Great America Train Station?”. Once on Stars and Stripes Drive continue south to your destination as currently done today.

Q. How do I exit the Great America Train Station?

All vehicles leaving the Great America Train Station area will exit northbound on the new temporary road/Stars and Stripes Drive extension. The roadway will intersect with Great America Parkway which will be controlled by a new traffic signal.

Q. Will bike lane access be provided?

The Stars and Stripe Drive extension will have bike lanes in both directions to and from the Great America Train Station connecting to Great America Parkway. The new exit ramp will have a separated multiuse path for two-way bicycle travel. 

The San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail pedestrian and bicycle bridge has been temporarily closed.

Q. Will pedestrian access be provided?

The new exit ramp will have a separated multiuse path which will include pedestrian access. Pedestrians will also be able to access San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail using this pathway. The Stars and Stripes Drive extension will not have pedestrian access.

Q: What is the access route to San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail?

From Great America Station area, pedestrians and bicyclists will travel westbound, up the exit ramp to Tasman Drive. From there, both pedestrians and bicyclists can access San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail on the north or south side of Tasman. 

The San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail pedestrian and bicycle bridge has been temporarily closed.

Q. Will the surface parking lots near the Great America Train Station be closed?

The dirt parking lots will be closed for the duration of Phase 1 construction. The parking lot south of Great America Station will remain open.

Q. Will the Great America Train Station be closed?

No, the Great America Train Station will remain open and operational.

Q. Will the bicycle lockers for the Great America Train Station be removed?

The electronic bicycle lockers and regular bicycle lockers will remain on site but they have been relocated. The electronic bicycle lockers have shifted slightly while the regular bicycle lockers have moved to the north of the Station entrance.

Q. Will the ticket locations change?

No, the ticket locations are the same and have not been moved.

Q. Will the Great America Train Station parking lot be closed (south of the Station on Stars and Stripes Drive)?

No, the parking will remain open and unchanged.

Q. Will the Great America Train Station ADA parking spots be removed?

No, the ADA parking spaces will remain.

Q. Can we park at the City of Santa Clara Tasman Garage?

The Tasman Parking Garage will remain open until further notice.

Q: How do I access the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail from the Great America Transit Center?

The connection point to the Creek Trail will be between the Tasman Parking Garage and the Santa Clara Convention Center. From the Great America Transit Center, use the new shared use bicycle/pedestrian path on the exit ramp just north of the Youth Soccer Park up to Tasman Drive, cross Tasman Drive at the traffic signal at Marie de Bartolo, then use the bicycle lane to travel west to connect to the trail entrance between the parking garage and the Convention Center. 

The San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail pedestrian and bicycle bridge has been temporarily closed.

Q: How do I access the Great America Transit Center from the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail?

Exit the trail on the south side of Tasman Drive between the stadium parking and Levi’s Stadium/the creek, then travel north up the trail to Tasman Drive. Travel east on Tasman Drive in the bicycle lane and down the exit ramp to Stars and Stripes Drive and the Transit Center. The San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail pedestrian and bicycle bridge has been temporarily closed.

Q: Are Centennial Boulevard, the portion of Stars and Stripes Drive, and the San Tomas Aquino Trail pedestrian and bicycle bridge closing forever?

No, these streets will be rebuilt in a slightly different location while the Creek Trail bridge is closing temporarily and will reopen once Phase 1 of the Related Santa Clara project construction is complete.

Q: How long will Centennial Boulevard, the portion of Stars and Stripes Drive, and the San Tomas Aquino Trail pedestrian and bicycle bridge be closed?

These streets and Creek Trail Bridge will be closed for two (2) to three (3) years while Phase 1 of the Related Santa Clara development is constructed. Once construction of Phase 1 is complete, these streets will reopen in a slightly different location. The Creek Trail bridge will reopen in its current location.

Q: Will there be bicycle access to the new development?

Yes, there will be a new network and direct connections between the Transit Center area, San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail and the new location of Stars and Stripes Drive for all modes of travel. The design is still in process.

Q: Will there be bicycle lanes in the new development?

Yes, all routes in/out and through the new development will have designated bicycle facilities and sidewalks. There will also be Class I bicycle paths along the outside edges of the first two phases of the development.

Q: How do I access the Great America Transit Center from Levi’s Stadium?

From eastbound Tasman Drive, travel in the bicycle lanes then use the bicycle path down the exit ramp to Stars and Stripes Drive and the Transit Center.

Q: Will there be changes to the bicycle lanes on Great America Parkway and Tasman Drive?

There will not be modifications to the bicycle lanes. There may be temporary short-term closures or detours for bicycles and/or pedestrians during various stages of construction.
