This is a free City of Santa Clara event, sponsored by the Cultural Commission. We invite you to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to sit on as you enjoy the music. The LyraTones are an exciting 17-piece Ballroom dance orchestra that specializes in reproducing the sounds of the great dance bands. This band has delighted dancers all over the Bay Area for over 30 years with its danceable beat. The extensive playbook includes authentic versions of the famous arrangements of the Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Harry James and Ted Heath orchestras, played just the way you remember them—plus a wide variety of Latin Ballroom styles including Rhumbas, Cha Chas, Tangos, Sambas, Waltzes and more.
