Broceliande Celtic Performance

Presented by the City of Santa Clara Cultural Commission as part of the Friday Night Live series, this program strives to bring together culture, entertainment, and education.

Celebrate the Spring with Brocelïande! Celtic/Medieval trio Brocelïande will perform an inviting blend of traditional European and Early music, ranging from upbeat dances to beautiful ballads to madrigals and singalong songs. Their evocative lyrics, including some in Medieval French, speak of love and longing, quests and revels, magic and transformation. Brocelïande is three stellar musicians: Margaret Davis (soprano, Celtic harp, recorders, flute), Kristoph Klover (tenor, guitars, octave mandolin, whistle) and Kris Yenney (alto, cello, percussion). They have performed throughout the West Coast for the past decade, and have released 7 CDs on the Flowinglass Music label, including their latest, "Make We Merry.

Seating on the evening of the event will be first-come, first-served. This is a family-wide event, and we encourage patrons of all ages to attend to this program. For more information, call the Cultural Commission staff liaison at (408) 615-3192. You and your child’s attendance at any Santa Clara Parks & Recreation Department sponsored event constitutes your permission for photographs to be used for promotional purposes.
