Never enter the new year with dirty laundry (or a messy garden). Come dressed ready to get dirty and help City staff rake the leaves, pull the weeds and chop them down to add to the ground. With a smile, we will turn the pile and see what happens to organic waste when it sits for a while. Garden volunteers will get to take some compost home for their own gardens.  There is plenty of odd jobs you can do that has nothing to do with compost as well. The is a free event for the whole family.

If you are volunteering:

• Please bring your garden shears to help chop plant material
• Please gloves (we have gloves for those who forget)
• Please bring water
• Recreation staff will provide fruit and snacks
