The public is invited to a community meeting hosted by the City of Santa Clara’s Community Development Department, Planning Division. The purpose of this meeting is to share about the proposed General Plan Text Amendment and Land Use Diagram Amendment to remove the De La Cruz Future Focus Area, and the Lawrence Station West and Central Expressway Focus Areas from the General Plan and apply the Heavy Industrial, Light Industrial, and Low Intensity Office R&D, land use designation to these areas consistent with existing uses. Focus Areas are a component of the General Plan that provides goals and policies to guide the redevelopment of existing underutilized industrial/office areas into new mixed use and residential neighborhoods.
