2023 State of the City

The 2023 State of the City, presented by Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Mission City Center for Performing Arts (located at Wilcox High School) at 3250 Monroe Street, Santa Clara.

The event will include the State of the City address from Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor, local community group performances and the presentation of the Citywide and Council District Community Awards. Don't forget to visit our City resource booths in the lobby area from 5 - 6 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

 4:30 p.m. - Doors open to the public.

• Visit a City resource booth from Silicon Valley Power, Water & Sewer Utilities, Parks & Recreation, Environmental Services and the Library Bookmobile!

6 - 7 p.m. State of the City Program Begins

• Invocation by Father Gerald Nwafor, St. Justin’s Parish Church
• Pledge of Allegiance / Presentation of Colors – Troop #394 and #2394 
• National Anthem – Miss Mission City, Ellee Kennedy
• Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor's State of the City Address
• Performance: Silarmonica Uniao Portuguesa de Santa Clara
• Performance: Korean Traditional Wedding Lantern Dance and the Flower Crown Dance performed by Neha Israni, Sameer Israni, Claire J Lee, Ilhyun Kim
• Traditional Indian Dance by Laasya 
• District and Citywide Community Awards
• Closing
