 Budget_Presentation_Award_2022 City of Santa Clara Finance Department Recognized with Distinguished Budget Presentation Award: The award represents a significant achievement by the entity. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity's budget serves as: a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, a communications device.

Silicon Valley Power Recognized as Diamond Level Reliable Public Power Provider: Silicon Valley Power has earned a Diamond Level Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3)® designation from the American Public Power Association for providing reliable and safe electric service. The Diamond Level is the highest designation that a utility can earn. The RP3 designation recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. Silicon Valley Power joins 274 public power utilities nationwide that hold the RP3 designation. 
 CSMFO AWARD CITY OF SANTA CLARA CSMFO Operating Budget Excellence Award: In February 2022, Budget received the CSMFO Operating Budget Excellence Award for the Adopted FY 2021/22 and FY 2022/23 Biennial Operating Budget. 
 Growth Award The City of Santa Clara Receives Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City Recognition and Growth Award: For its commitment to managing, expanding, and preserving our urban forest, the City of Santa Clara has been designated by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA community 35 times. In addition, Santa Clara was one of 15 California cities recently recognized with the prestigious Growth Award, and this marks the 22nd time Santa Clara has received this distinguished award.
MISAC2022  

City of Santa Receives the 2022 MISAC Award for Excellence in Information Technology Practices: The Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) is a statewide organization with 1,600 IT professionals, from over 300 cities and special districts. The Excellence award was established in 2000 to recognize exemplary Information Technology practices. The award signifies the city has met or exceeded MISAC standards in the technology focused areas of Budget and Strategic Planning, Purchasing, Operations and Staffing, Customer Satisfaction, Internet, Project Management, Professional Development and Training, Disaster Preparation and Recovery, Policies and Procedures, GIS and Security. The award is an acknowledgment of the City’s efforts in improving the quality of life and city services through technology and innovation. This is the 16th time for the City of Santa Clara to win the Excellence Award. Eighteen agencies statewide received the award this year.

 APWA Award 2 Raymond G. Gamma Dog Park Improvements Awarded Project of the Year Award by APWA Silicon Valley: The City of Santa Clara is excited to announce the Raymond G. Gamma Dog Park Improvements Project has been awarded Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association (APWA) Silicon Valley Chapter in the Environment/Parks between $2 – 5M category. The improved Raymond G. Gamma Dog Park is a truly state-of-the-art facility that accommodates both dogs and dog owners alike, innovatively designed with an emphasis on durability and long-term maintenance capabilities.
Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) Champion Award  Silicon Valley Power Receives Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) Champion Award: During the U.S. EPA’s Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) Program Annual Partner Meeting on Nov. 17, 2022, Silicon Valley Power (SVP) was awarded the RAD Champion Award as part of the third year of the RAD Leadership Awards Program. The RAD Champion award recognizes the top 10 partners with the highest percentage of units processed with foam recovery.
