Meet our D.A.R.E. Officers!

Officer Stephanie Knight

Officer Knight graduated from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office Academy in May, 2006. Since joining the Santa Clara Police Department, she has worked in Patrol, is a member of the Crime Scene Investigation Team and has worked as a School Resource Officer. She started teaching DARE in August, 2014.

In her free time, Stephanie loves to travel especially internationally.

Officer Lauren Larsen

Officer Larsen became a police officer in 2008 with the San Jose Police Department. In July, 2011, Officer Larsen joined the Santa Clara Police Department where she has held assignments as Mobile Field Force Instructor, Bicycle Patrol Operations Instructor and Citizens' Police Academy Instructor.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys exercising and traveling. 

Officer Mike Garcia

Officer Garcia began his law enforcement career with the Santa Clara County Department of Corrections in 1997. He joined the Santa Clara Police Department in 2001. During his tenure, Officer Garcia has served on the Special Enforcement Team and as a member of SWAT.

In 2007, Officer Garcia received the City of Santa Clara "Life Saving" award for removing an infant and two adults from a burning apartment building.
