Free MedicAlert Medical Identification for Individuals with Autism or Dementia
The Santa Clara Police and Fire Departments, in partnership with MedicAlert Foundation, are bringing a free program to our residents to protect individuals who are at-risk for wandering emergencies, especially those affected by autism and dementia.
Enrollees are eligible to receive a free MedicAlert medical identification and emergency support services. Three options exist - bracelet, necklace or shoe tag. The medical identification can be used during a wandering emergency to ensure your loved one is quickly located and safely returned home.
Family members of individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism and/or developmental disorders are encouraged to enroll their loved one at the Police Building (601 El Camino Real) during normal business hours.
For more information contact the Santa Clara Police Department at 408-615-4700.
