About the Emergency Operations Center

The Office of Emergency Services maintains an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in “response-ready” condition to serve as the City’s hub for emergency management activities in support of large-scale emergencies or planned events. Staff from all city departments may staff the EOC that is organized by functional units i.e., Management, Operations, Logistics, Plans/Intelligence and Finance/Administration.

During a major significant event, -- enough rain or wind to prompt a National Weather Service “warning” (issued when hazardous weather is occurring or imminent) or significant impact on many residents/businesses – the City of Santa Clara will send emails to those who sign up for “Extreme Weather.” Please visit santaclaraca.gov/i-want-to/stay-informed/sign-up-for-city-news-info and sign up for “Extreme Weather” news.
