City Neighborhood Park Tennis Courts

The City of Santa Clara operates and maintains neighborhood park tennis courts for public drop-in use. Professional instruction and league play is prohibited except by written permit from City of Santa Clara Parks & Recreation.

Santa Clara Tennis Center at Central Park

The Santa Clara Tennis Center features 8 lighted tennis courts, court reservation service, stringing service, and ball machine service, and offers private and group lessons. The tennis courts are available on a pay-as-you-play basis during prime time hours and are free during other open park hours.

Tennis at Buchser Tennis Courts

The City of Santa Clara is preparing for the opening of the Buchser Tennis Courts on June 5. During summer non-school hours, the courts will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to sunset. Programs, lessons, and reserved use will be available.

Lifetime Tennis will operate programs and lessons.

Golf Programs & Services

The Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club, formerly located at 5155 Stars & Stripes Drive, Santa Clara closed in October 2019 in anticipation of the construction of CityPlace by Related Santa Clara, a $6.5 billion multi-phased, mixed use development.

The City of Santa Clara has an exclusive agreement with the City of Sunnyvale to provide golf programs and services to Santa Clara residents. Residents of the City of Santa Clara are now able to visit Sunnyvale Golf courses and receive resident rates with proper identification.

Sunnyvale Golf, located at 605 Macara Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94085, features an 18-hole course, pro-shop and full-service food concession, and Sunken Gardens Golf Course, located at 1010 S Wolfe Rd., Sunnyvale, CA 94086, features a nine-hole executive course with an 18-stall driving range, existing men’s and women’s clubs.
