The City Council met on Feb. 8, 2022 for the 2022 Council Priority Setting Session. During the session, the City provided a Budget Update and 10-Year Financial Forecast, progress of ongoing Council priorities and City accomplishments, and the State of the Organization. The City Council discussed critical priorities and how to balance future priorities against the City’s current resources. At the end of the session, the Council voted to continue the remainder of the agenda on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. On February 25, 2022, the continuation of the City Council Priority Setting Session was cancelled until further notice.

2021 Priority Setting Check-in - Aug. 17, 2021
The City Council met for a mid-year Strategic Priority “Check-in” Session on Aug. 17, 2021. The session was designed to achieve three objectives:
Review and discuss City Council meeting management procedures and norms
Receive updates on budget/fiscal situation, procurement streamlining measures, organizational capacity, and customer service management process improvements
The City Council held a virtual two-day goal and priority setting session on Monday, Feb. 1 and Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021. During these sessions, the Mayor and City Council discussed citywide goals to help focus the City’s initiatives and current resources. These priorities set the policy framework for budget decisions and how City resources are aligned to support these objectives.

February 1, 2021 - City Council Priority Setting Session, Day 1
The City Council held a two-day goal and priority setting session on Thursday, Jan. 30 and Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at the Central Park Library. During these sessions, the Mayor and City Council discussed and established citywide goals that will help focus the City’s initiatives and resources. These priorities will set the policy framework for budget decisions and how City resources are aligned to support these objectives.
During their 2020 Priority Setting Session, the City Council validated the previously approved Council Priorities, updating #1, #2 and #7:
